This is goldā¦ I love this idea of posting your ideas from a place of authentic fun and being non-attached to the outcomeā¦ just posting your ideas out there and seeing what sticks.
Iāve always thought this idea of the headline being the most important thing, false and unauthentic. When you write as though talking to your homie friend, it not only becomes easier to write, but your personality shines, and that is what attracts people to you.
Rob, please do write a post on "How to make the move from attached to non-attachedā as I need more guidance on this and Iām sure others will do as well.
thank you jane! and yeah, definitely gonna be writing about all the wild work that's gone into getting me less attached these last few years. feels like such an important part of the larger story of ungated
great Rob, all your writing has inspired me and ignited a fire in my belly to speak my truth. Iāve held back due many things, especially the fear factor of what people will think. By hey, I have decided now to ignore my fear and regard it as āexcitement in disguiseā and come out to play :)
Appreciate this look inside your philosophy, Rob! I'm still on the fence as to whether Twitter or LinkedIn will ever be part of my promotional efforts again, but it's good to have alternative approaches to explore.
I think perhaps Twitter could be fun if all I did was follow Fosterati and a few interesting Substack-ers and completely ignored the rest. š That would require using some kind of external platform like Tweetdeck to avoid the clickbait news of Twitter...
For me, non-attachment is a work in progress but a mindset that helps me write, speak, show up, and be myself without overthinking. Thanks for sharing!

There's a really interesting spiritual element to this, too.
