Should I ditch Substack?
My relationship with this platform is very complicated lol
Ok, for today's post I wanna try something. I'm gonna test out Substack's polling feature, which I just found out about like an hour ago (lol). To make it extra meta, I'd like to poll you about whether you’d prefer I keep publishing here on Substack.
I've always had a weird antagonistic relationship with Substack, and really do want to give them a fair shake. But lately I've been starting to suspect that my philosophy of business and marketing is at odds with this platform. Being here feels increasingly out of integrity. Sometime soon, I’m planning to go on an epic rant and share all the ways Substack irritates me. But before I scorch any digital earth, I wanted to get a sense of how y'all feel about it. So yeah, would love your feedback on the poll!

Substack is super desperate for everyone to turn on paid subscriptions. But me, I refuse. The Frontier is 100x cooler than any membership offer I'd ever be able to do natively on Substack, so if you've felt compelled to give me money for the writing I'm doing here, that's the place to go lol.
